Around seven people, including two US citizens, have been detained in a new crackdown in Saudi Arabia, reports an activists on Friday.
London-based Human Rights group, ALQST has identified the US citizen as doctor and writer Salah al-Haidar and Bader al-Ibrahim, son of Aziza al-Yousef. He is a high-profile activist, who was released temporarily in the last week but remains on trial along with other campaigners of women rights.
ALQSt reports that all those arrested were “writers and social media bloggers previously engaged in public discourse on reforms.”
More details awaited.
