2020 Dubai Expo invites the residents of the United Arab Emirates to witness “The World’s Greatest Show in the Making” with free bus tours unveiled for a limited period over the summer.
Expo 2020 coaches will collect visitors from distinct pickup points across the UAE between July 20 to August 31. The pickup points include Abu Dhabi Mall, Dubai Mall, and other accessible locations in the Northern Emirates and Sharjah, with the aim to commute them for a preview of the site.
The bus tour will comprise of a showreel on the history of World Expo as visitors making their path to 2020 expo site in Dubai (South). Stops at Expo 2020 site will include an inside look of the Visitor Centre, a taste of beverages and foods, indulge in on-site activities ahead of re-boarding the bus for a site and structures tour – all comprise of facts and figures.
The Chief Community Engagement Officer of 2020 Dubai Expo, Manal Albayat said in a statement that “World Expos are famous for their groundbreaking architecture, from the Eiffel Tower in 1889 to the Space Needle in 1962. This is an unprecedented opportunity for people in the UAE to come with their friends and families and take an early look at our own incredible structures that will soon be known far and wide — such as Al Wasl Plaza, the site’s beating heart, the falcon-inspired UAE Pavilion and the Sustainability Pavilion, which pushes the boundaries of eco-conscious design.”
“We can’t wait to welcome the world in 2020, but before then, we look forward to welcoming people from across the UAE to experience our site, which will host six months of unforgettable events and celebrations from October 2020,” said Mr. Albayat.

Dubai Expo 2020 Story
Expo 2020 will be the first World Expo ever held in Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia region, commence from October 20 and run for six months under the theme, “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. It is likely to welcome around 25 million visitors over the course of 173-days.
With a focus on entertainment, arts, live events, and concerts – 192 nations are taking part in the event. The event will run until April 10, 2021, over 70 percent of visitors are likely to come from outside the UAE.
Dubai Expo 2020 has a volunteer program, which objected to including over 30000 volunteers from a wide range of nationalities, ages, backgrounds, and cultures.
2020 Expo site covers a total of 4.48 square kilometers, including 2 square kilometers gated area, which is situated adjacent to Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai South.
