Singer R Kelly being ejected from his recording studio in Chicago unless he pays off $174000 (Dh 639032) in back rent and other incurred costs by January 21.
In a July Lawsuit, the documents of the court seeking payment for the Singer were extracted by the Chicago Tribune for a story on Monday. It includes a signed rejection notice put on hold to offer Kelly until the next week to pay off the dues.
The recent #MuteRKelly and #MeToo movements held a protest outside the studio. Besides other things, they called on promoters to restrict any booking for him in the concerts.
Surviving R Kelly, which is a lifetime documentary that recently drew fresh attention to allegations that goes back years. Mr. Kelly’s lawyer, Steve Greenberg has said that his client is a victim of a TV hit piece as R Kelly has denied all the charges.
