The Oscar-nominated movie Capernaum will be shown in the United Arab Emirates at Cinema Akil from March 15-29.

In December, Lebanese Director Nadine Labaki has made the headlines for becoming one of the first women in Arab to be nominated for Oscar for the title that is a contender for Best Foreign Language Film.

Capernaum also won the Cannes Jury Prize and was a competitor for the prestigious Palm d’Or award in 2018.

The Oscar-nominated film narrates the story of a 12-years-old Lebanese boy, named Zain, who visit court to sue his parents.

Tickets for screening Capernaum at Cinema Akil are to go on sale from next week for Dh52.5.
