Saudi Arabia will invite international experts including the United Nations (UN) to participate in investigating a drone attack over its oil facilities and asked the world to criticize those behind it, said the Foreign Ministry on Monday.

Primary probes claim that weapons from Iran were used in the attack, which knocked out over half of the country’s oil production and destroyed the world’s biggest crude processing plant, said the Saudi Foreign Ministry.

It continued that “the kingdom is capable of defending its land and people and responding forcefully to those attacks.”

The Foreign Ministry has claimed that the attack above all targeted global oil supplies, has termed it as an extension of the previous aggressive acts against oil pumping stations in May.
