A man is on trial, convict of forging documents to open a bank account to seek a loan of Dh 262,000, heard the Dubai Court of First Instance on Thursday. 41-years-old Pakistani has forged a salary certificate, work identification, and entry permit to pose as a doctor to seek the loan by fraud.

The 35-year-old Egyptian bank employee claims that “He provided me with documents and I presented it to my bank to open an account and get the loan.

He continued, “The bank later alerted me that the defendant was arrested because the documents were fake.”

Prosecutors claim that the defendant had faked the documents with the assistance of a second unknown defendant, who is presently at large.

Dubai Health Authority has also confirmed to the prosecution that the salary certificate was not issued by them.

After a few trails, it has been adjourned until April 2.
