UAE has introduced new guidelines for Indian citizens. According to the new guidelines declared by the UAE, family members of Indians working in the UAE from now will be able to get an “expat visa” if an income criteria is fulfilled by the relatives.
As per official reports, the UAE Cabinet has adopted a decision to modify provisions of the resolution on sponsoring of foreign workers to their families in the country.
In a statement by the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, it was stated the amended provisions now will indicate “income” as a requirement for sponsoring family members, as opposed to the previously listed “professions” which allowed workers to sponsor their families.
“The decision aims at enhancing family stability of foreign workers and social cohesion, as well as attracting highly skilled workers while maintaining a healthy balance between professional and personal life,” the statement added.
The statement says, the decision of the Cabinet called on very close institutions of government to conduct studies to assess as well as develop the services provided to residents. It also included aspects of health and education and encourage their family to actively participate in the job market as an alternative to recruiting new workers from abroad.
