One national service recruit died and four others were seriously injured in a car accident. Sources said that the accident occurred on Emirates Road before bridge 7 toward Al Zubair bridge where their car had veered off the road and overturned.

They were returning home from their military training camp.

On Thursday, about 2 pm, Sharjah Police was informed about the accident and they rushed to the site with an ambulance.

The injured were immediately taken to Al Kuwaiti Hospital by airlift.

The national recruit who died on the spot was identified as M.H, aged 22 from Ajman. The four others were aged between 17 and 19, they sustained severe injuries. Three of them were admitted to Al Qassimi hospital and other one admitted to Al Kuwaiti hospital.

According to the hospital officials, two of them were in a stable condition while the other two were in a serious condition. Investigations are going on to find the actual cause of the accident.
