On Tuesday, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai went to visit Khalifa Al Kaabi, the hero student who rescued his classmates after their bus caught fire on Tuesday in Kalba.

A video went viral on social media in which Sheikh Mohammed can be seen walking inside the school with Khalifa and meeting the classmates of the boy who were also on board when the fire broke out. 

Al Kaabi said that at that time three students were on the bus. After he was taken by the driver from his home, the little one alerted the driver to look smoke that was coming from under the bus. When the driver went to look beneath the bus he couldn’t see anything unusual, so kept driving.

Just after a few seconds, the bus burst into flames when Al Kaabi pushed his classmates out the door. After that, he immediately informed the police and fire departments to the scene using the driver’s phone.
