Yesterday afternoon, a massive fire broke out in two different areas in the emirate. Additionally, a gas cylinder also blasts at a cafeteria in Al Nuaimyah. The firefighters in Ajman successfully controlled the fires. There were no casualties in the incidents.
Lieutenant Colonel Raed Obeid Al Zaabi, Deputy Director of the Centers Department, said a couple of reports of fires in different parts of Ajman were received by the Ajman Civil Defence Platform. The first was a fire which broke out in an apartment in Al Nuaimyah. Firefighters and policemen immediately evacuated the residents for their safety.
The second fire erupted in a food packaging factory in the new industrial area. The reason for the fire has not become clear so far, said Lt.Col. Al Zaabi. In the third incident, a gas cylinder exploded which damaged a building and two cars parked there. The cylinder exploded because of a leakage.
The area was closed off by the police so that the Civil Defence can bring the fire under control quickly. Later the forensic experts came to investigate the reason of the incidents.
