A Dubai Court of First Instance heard that a drunk employee pushed his colleague causing the man’s death after he died of heart failure.
The incident happened in 2019, January in Al Muhaisnah area when the 35-year-old Indian defendant and his fellow had an argument following which he pushed his colleague on the floor.
The other workers who have witnessed the incident in the labor accommodation called for an ambulance to take him immediately to the hospital.
Their supervisor when get informed about the incident he immediately came and saw that the victim was in a bad condition. He said that when he rushed to the room he found the victim was unconscious and paramedics were trying to revive him.
The roommate of the defendant and the deceased claimed that when returned to the accommodation from work he saw them arguing.
“They both attacked each other. The victim then fell to the ground and other workers crowded around him, including the defendant,” said the Indian roommate.
It has not been disclosed yet that what was the reason behind the argument. Though the Indian defendant has denied all the charges of physical assault that caused the death he admitted that he used to consume alcohol without a license. The verdict will be issued on March 28.
